Starting today (Wed 4/1) math will be posted Wednesdays (9-9:45 am) and Thursdays (10:30-11:15 am) at the designated time. At this time Fridays (1:30-2:15) will be "extra-help" and you can reach me through email to ask any questions that you may have. It may take me longer than that window to reply to you depending on the number of emails I receive. Please be patient. Today we are going to start using a website called EdPuzzle. Some of you may already use it in other classes and if you do, you are one step ahead! For those of you that don't use EdPuzzle, let me tell you a little about it...you will watch a video and answer questions throughout the video. You cannot skip ahead! You will be given either multiple choice or open ended questions that go along with the video. First thing I am going to have you do today is sign-up for our class.
Once you have joined the class, please complete your first assignment titled "9.9 Probability Practice". This assignment is due tomorrow, Thursday 4/2, by 3pm. Feel free to email with questions during today and tomorrow's math blocks.
As always, when you watch the video you have two options:
Hi Students (and parents),
I just wanted to send out a message to clear up any confusion about the email and schedules that were sent home yesterday. You are NOT expected to sit in front of your computers/tablets from 9-3 every day. Those are the time periods when your teachers will be sending out the work for their classes or scheduling video conferences. This way you aren't getting all of your assignments all at once. It is designed to give you some structure to your days because we (Grand Ave) heard heard that a lot of students (and parents) were getting overwhelmed with a lot of work coming at them all at once. Stay well. Be safe and be positive. Mrs. Zaikowski This week we are going to finish up the Probability Unit. I know some of you struggled with Friday's Quizizz and if you have specific questions, please email me and I can try my best to help you through it. Did you know that the Cincinnati Zoo is having Zoo Safari Live on Facebook at 3:00 pm everyday?
I know, I know, you guys are too young and cool to have FB but I am sure some of your parents may have an account like I do and you can ask them to watch it with them or through their account. On Monday I learned some interesting facts about hippos. Fiona has the same birthday as Isabella. I think that some of you will particularly like the ones about hippo poop. Link to Cincinnati Zoo Click on Unit 9 Review II answer key for link to an answer key and explanation by Ms. Rubenstein. Please go over your work and make corrections. Consider this classwork. Try to complete it by the end of the week so that you are ready to move on to the next topic.
It is a beautiful day out today. I know that some of you may be helping your parents by watching your siblings or some of you may be home by yourself. Here is an outside scavenger hunt that you can do in your own backyard. Isabella (my daughter) and I did one and here is what we found. If you do the scavenger hunt send me a picture through REMIND @mrszmath7 to show me what you found. Good morning everyone! This is where I will be posting your assignments while we are "remote" learning.
Please do the Unit 9 Review II. (by clicking on Unit 9 Review II). Although there is not a way for me to check this packet, please complete it and give it your best effort. Tomorrow I will be posting the answer key so that you can check and correct your work. I will be assigning digital work (ex: quizizz) to assess your understanding of the material, so it is important that you complete your assignments. Please try to check this page each day or two. |
